I'm 5'4-1/2 which is a half inch taller than the average female height, and with the Stol task chair at its lowest I can't quite place my feet flat on the floor. This is the first adjustable chair I've had that doesn't go low enough. Also the arms portion, not really arms but the sloping sides, are higher and farther forward than I'd like and I find myself lifting my shoulders. I will figure out a position for my elbows, I hope, in order not to do that. I'll wear my Crocs to get my feet flat. I think this chair was designed for the taller male body. But the seat is comfortable and the chair looks good, feels solid.
